UK removes Bangladesh from travel red list

The UK will remove Bangladesh from its travel "red" list starting September 22. The country will be moved to the lower-risk "amber list" from 4:00am on September 22, which means travellers from Bangladesh will no longer require 10-day quarantine as part of Covid safety measures in a government-sanctioned hotel from that day. Travellers arriving from countries that are "amber" must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days upon arrival in the UK. However, there is no requirement to do this in a government-sanctioned hotel; one can self-isolate at home or where they are staying. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen praised the British government's decision and thanked them for taking into consideration Bangladesh's request. It is great news.
